Organizations are increasingly moving data to public cloud platforms. But moving some amount of data to the cloud is just the beginning. Once it’s there, most IT teams still want to retain the management of their storage capacity that sits in the cloud, preferably as just an extended “arm” of their standard, in-house storage. TwinStrata is a prime example of a new storage implementation—“cloud-integrated storage”—that aims to provide the best of both these local and cloud worlds. It has recently released its CloudArray 4.0 product that adds more flexibility and manageability, together with near-continuous data access and HA capabilities.
